RLGA League

RLGA – We’re Back!!! Sort of.

As all of you know by now, the governor and state have lifted the restrictions on 4-some play. This is a small step for getting back to some form of normalcy in these very trying times. RLGA is also making an effort to return a bit of normalcy to the Thursday Ladies’ Golf Day. Please review the information below to get a better idea of what is scheduled for your Thursday golf beginning on May 28, 2020.

  • As mentioned, changes to the Thursday Ladies’ golf will begin on Thursday, May 28.

  • Anyone interested in playing on Thursdays MUST email the golf shop at golfshop.rcc@gmail.com  starting on the Monday prior to that Thursday. The deadline to sign-up will be Tuesday by noon.

  • The golf shop will provide you with the pairings and tee times as done previously on the website under the RLGA tab. You will be able to view your tee times by end of day Wednesday (the day before) at renaissancegolfcourse.com.

  • We will do everything we can to pair you within your flights as we have done in the past. However, with the new handicap system and with handicaps changing on a daily basis, some golfers may be on the borderline between 2 flights. Your handicap will be used based on the Wednesday (day before) handicap provided by the World Handicap System; both for arranging flights and when we resume league play, for determining your score.

  • For those players that may not have access to computers, or if you know of someone that does not have a computer, you can offer to sign them up, but please confirm with them prior to doing so.

  • With every other tee time only available, space is at a premium so we would appreciate your effort to reduce cancelations and sign-up only if you plan to play. Additionally, although we will try to keep players within their respective flights, we reserve the right to place you in a flight as close as yours to accommodate as many golfers as we can.

  • Upon signing up, please indicate your preference to play either 9 holes or 18 holes and whether or not you need a rental cart, as that will be used to assist in determining the pairings.

  • Bathrooms in the PMO building will be available. Please follow the rules that are posted on the door to enter the PMO office.  The Port-O-Johns on the course are still closed.  We know this is an inconvenience and hope these restrictions will ease up as well.

Remember:  1 person per cart; tee times are 8 minutes apart.
